Correction of Severe Ptosis and Asymmetrical Breasts with a Breast Lift and Breast Implants

The patient is a 40 year old woman who had severe, grade 3 ptosis. She lost breast volume and fullness after her pregnancy and she had severly asymmetrical breasts.  In order to correct this, plastic surgeon Dr. James Murphy performed a two stage procedure. First, the breasts were liftedThen, the breasts were filled with an implant to gain more volume, symmetry, and improve the cleavage area.  Patients typically wait 1 to 3 months in between the surgeries to allow the lift incisions time to heal before placing the larger implants.  The after photos, taken one year after surgery show that the scars are fading and the nipple height is improved. The patient desired larger implants to due to her wide cleavage and wide chest. Smaller implants would have left the patient with a wide gape in the cleavage area and/or no curve to the outer portion of the chest.  Her post-op pictures show a fantastic result.

This woman presented to Reno’s Northern Nevada Plastic Surgery with asymmetrical breasts. Northern Nevada Plastic Surgery recommended breast lift and breast augmentation to restore symmetry and to make her breasts proportional to the rest of her body. As you can see from the after photo above, Northern Nevada Plastic Surgery‘s recommended course of action achieved both goals for this Reno breast augmentation and breast lift patient. She now has breasts that are more youthful and perky in addition to being symmetrical and well proportioned.

The paient is 5’4″ tall and weighs 140 lbs. She was a C sup prior to surgery and is now a DDD after the mastopexy and breast augmentation procedures. The breast implants are manufactured by the Mentor Corporation and are smooth, round, saline implants. The breast implants are of a moderate-plus profile. Each implant is 800cc. The right side us filled to 800cc, while the left is filled to 960cc. The elapsed time between the before and the after photos is one year.
