Case Details

This 40-year-old female went to consult with Dr. Mark Epstein, a board certified surgeon located in Stony Brook, NY.  She had mammary pseudoptosis which is drooping of the glandular tissue.  She also had mild true ptosis which is drooping of the nipple.  This patient underwent a breast augmentation with 400cc silicone gel round implants placed under the muscle (submuscular) using a dual plane approach.  The first set of postoperative photographs were taken only a few days after surgery.  Note the excessive fullness in the upper breasts, and the nipple looks low.  Four months later, the volume re-distributed as the breast tissues stretched to accommodate the implant.  The top of the breast has a more natural slope, the bottom of the breast is rounder and the nipples have rotated upward into a perfect position.  No breast lift was required!
