Dr. Mark Epstein was the plastic surgeon that performed the breast implant surgery on this 31-year-old patient. They mutually agreed to use saline implants. Her particular implants were filled with 350cc of saline. They were anatomically shaped, which is a teardrop shape. Dr. Epstein placed the implant below the muscle which is often referred to as “submuscular.” Many surgeons chose this placement because it lowers the risk of capsular contracture and can lower the risk of visible rippling.
