Comments:
I had been thinking about getting implants since I finished nursing my third child and my breasts were yet again even smaller than before I began nursing. I started as a 36B and after nursing 4 children ended up as a 36AA?? If that.
So for 7 years I toyed with the idea of implants and decided to go for it just a couple months ago. I am fairly newly divorced and decided it was time to do something totally selfish..
I decided on the new cohesive gel textured anatomical implants because they seemed like they would be more natural looking. This type is not FDA approved as it has only been in the US about 2 years or so) I had 355cc’s (both sides) implanted submuscular, inframammary incision. I am now part of the Mentor research study program for the next 10 years.
I had my surgery done on Monday, March 27. I went into surgery at 10:00am and was in recovery by about 11:30am. I started coming out of it by 12:30 and was on my way home by 1:30.
I took my pain meds and mostly slept for the rest of the day and night. Tuesday was a repeat of Monday. Pain meds and in and out of sleep. By Wednesday I was awake a bit more, still taking my meds faithfully so not feeling any pain. A little discomfort and lots of itching but no significant pain. My breasts are hard and swollen, also between them it is firm and swollen. The incisions under each breast are about 2 1/2 inches long and have stitches with some sort of glue over them. The incisions look great, not irritated or red at all. One tiny black and blue on the right side near the incision, none anywhere else!
I have been faithfully taking Bromelain (for swelling) and Arnica Montana (for bruising and muscle soreness) since 2 weeks before surgery and will continue till 2 weeks after by recommendation of my Doctor. It is now Thursday, I am still taking meds, however have cut dosage in half now…have only had a half an hour nap once today and I feel fantastic. My breasts are still swollen but they now have a little give to them when I touch them instead of them just feeling like a rock!! So far my biggest complaint is BLOATING!! It started with my stomach being a little bloated but now my butt, hips and upper legs are swollen (bloated) too. I gained twelve pounds in 48 hours, all water weight as I hadn’t eaten anything but a couple jellos since the Sun. night before surgery.
Nobody ever mentioned this could happen, however I did read a blurb about it on Nicole’s web site otherwise I would be freaking out having never heard of it…Its gross. I have enlarged like a size on my lower half! It better go away soon!!! !
