Welcome to my practice in Ridgewood, NJ. I am Dr. Frank J. Ferraro and I have goals as a board certified plastic surgeon. Those are to keep you safe and perform an effective and rewarding surgery. I will abide by the bylaws and ethics of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
I offer my patients the convenience of two office locations. The procedures can also be performed at several hospitals and surgical centers in your area. All facilities are accredited and emphasize a private setting. The main reason for using these centers and hospitals is to emphasize safety. I only use board certified anesthesiologists for my cases.
Prior to surgery, I meet with my patients twice to facilitate communication, to educate and to have the patient fully informed. After the surgery is completed follow up is life long and a lasting relationship is established between my patients, myself and my staff. Through innovative technologies and the belief in minimally invasive surgery my staff and I bring to the community a center of expertise and look forward to serving you.
Breast augmentation is one of the most frequently performed cosmetic surgery procedures in the U.S. and one of our most popular services. Complementary Procedures
Breast augmentation can achieve dramatic and beautiful results on its own as well as in conjunction with other cosmetic surgery or non-invasive procedures. We sometimes recommend combining breast augmentation with other procedures such as a breast lift for more satisfying results. This is most commonly recommended to treat any sagging that has resulted from aging or pregnancy. During this combined procedure, some breast tissue is removed, the breast skin is tightened and lifted, and an implant is inserted.
Breast Augmentation: Saline and Silicone Gel Breast Implants
Breast implants are silicone shells filled with either saline (salt water) or silicone gel. Both implant types are very safe, and each offers its own advantages. We will help you decide which kind is right for you. During surgery, we will place the implants behind each breast, underneath either breast tissue or the chest wall muscle.
After many years, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved silicone breast implants for breast augmentation surgery. We are proud to offer patients the option of silicone gel-filled breast implants, since they are much softer and feel more natural than saline-filled breast implants.
