Dr. Egrari performs many breast enhancement surgeries each year using various techniques and methods. Dr. Egrari performs breast augmentation on an outpatient basis using general anesthesia. He and his patients plan out the surgery prior to proceeding with it. Decisions are made such as where the incision will be made: under the arm, around the areola, or under the breast. Another important decision to be made is where the implant will be placed. Options include under the fascia, under the breast tissue or under the muscle.
Following the procedure Dr. Egrari’s patients are able to return home wearing an elastic bra. This bra is able to act as support for the breasts as well as providing comfort. Oral medication is usually prescribed to control initial discomfort. All sutures under the skin are dissolvable. Usually, patients return to work in about a week, and almost full normal activities can occur within five to seven days. Aerobic activity may again take place in about four weeks.
