Dr. Karl Wustrack grew up in Oregon but left to attend Stanford University where he earned his undergraduate degree. He then went on to medical school at Yale University. Dr. Wustrack came back to Oregon for his general surgery residency at OHSU before completing his residency in plastic surgery at UCLA in California. Dr. Wustrack has served on the board of directors of Willamette Falls Hospital in Oregon City, Oregon since 1990. He has served there as Chairman of the Department of Surgery, President of the Medical Staff and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Dr. Wustrack has been in private practice in Portland, OR since 1979. He was one of one of the first surgeons in the Portland area to develop an office surgery suite to give patients the opportunity to undergo cosmetic procedures in the privacy and convenience of a dedicated facility.
Dr. Wustrack has limited his practice to aesthetic, or cosmetic, surgery of the entire body including the face. Procedures such as face lifts, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty and surgery for prominent ears are offered as well as breast augmentation and lift, abdominoplasty or “tummy tuck”, and liposuction. Surgery for the massive weight loss patients including the tailoring of arms, legs and thighs is becoming increasingly popular.
Dr. Wustrack tries to take one trip a year to an underserved area of the world to provide reconstructive surgery such as the repair of cleft lip and palate and hand injuries. Most recently he has made several trips to Viet Nam and earlier has worked throughout Latin America as well as Romania and Uzbekistan.
Dr. Wustrack lives in West Linn with his wife, has three adult daughters who live in San Francisco, and his interests outside of plastic surgery include playing masters basketball and building fine furniture.
