Dr. David Amron is known worldwide as a liposuction expert. Having practiced for more than 18 years, he has developed and continues to perfect his unique tumescent liposuction technique. He performs on patients while they are awake and under local anesthesia so that adjustments can be made in body positioning throughout. He also starts suctioning in the deep fat and works his way to the surface, exchanging for smaller and flatter cannulas as he moves up.
Dr. Amron takes pride in carefully evaluating each potential patient to ensure the person is a good candidate for liposuction. He understands that liposuction is not a weight loss method, but rather should be performed only to correct disproportions in overall body shape.
Dr. Amron was raised in Los Angeles, CA, and attended UCLA and UC San Diego, receiving his bachelor’s degree from UC San Diego. He attended medical school in New York, and received his M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
After completing his medical degree, Dr. Amron returned to the southern California to complete his residency at UC San Diego and his research fellowship at UCLA. He is a board certified dermatological surgeon. He continues to instruct other surgeons on his technique. He has also been featured in numerous news and media outlets as a premier liposuction expert.
