At age 37 and four children under the age of five my husband and I decided we were finished extending our family and that it was time for me to have breast augmentation. My husband and I conducted an intense research of doctors specializing in breast augmentation over the internet. We lived in Wilmington, Delaware and were in the process of moving to San Diego, California. We decided on Dr. Pousti whose website was one of the most informative of any website on the internet. After deciding we would have a consult with Doctor Pousti my husband met with him while on business in California as I had to stay in Wilmington, Delaware with 4 children. After the appointment, my husband was convinced, hands down Doctor Pousti was the best fit for our needs. There was an unbelievable comfort level for my husband with Doctor Pousti because of the doctor's knowledge and easy-going personality. From the first time we emailed the office we had nothing less than an outstanding experience. We had prompt responses to our emails and phone calls and all questions and concerns were addresses with professional, very knowledgeable and kind responses. Even though my husband and I were in the process of moving our family to San Diego, California from the east coast, scheduling appointments and surgery was extremely simple due to the organized, professional excellence we received from Doctor Pousti and his staff. I was consistently treated as though I was Doctor Pousti's only patient. Doctor Pousti and his office pay extra attention to details so that nothing is overlooked.
My husband and I had decided to go large in terms of breast size but left the details to the experience of Doctor Pousti. He asked us to bring in photos and select one that best looked like the results we wanted. We decided on one photo and after examination, Doctor Pousti suggested a limited lift to one breast. He also suggested silicone implants. He had our absolute trust allowing us to be very comfortable in his suggestions in what would get us exactly the 'look' we wanted.
After surgery the result is exactly what we asked for. The photo we chose looks exactly like my new chest! Doctor Pousti did an incredible job! We are more than satisfied with the results. My husband and I joke everyday when I wake up that somehow they look better and better! My husband says it is the best money he has ever spent! As you can tell, we can't express enough how the entire experience went flawless and every one of our needs were more than satisfied and met. A friend of mine and I had been wanting to get breast implants for a few years and we we finally decided we started checking out some of the doctors in our area and when we found Dr. Pousti we fell in love with him and everyone in his office. Dr. Pousti and his office staff made us feel very comfortable. We got to see and talk to patients that also had it done and were very pleased with their results. I am very happy with my results and would and have recomend all my friends and anyone else to Dr. Pousti.

On the day of surgery I remember being very anxious but excited. The waiting was the worst part because of the anticipation of undergoing surgery. I remember being escorted back to the surgery room where it was quite cold. I lay down and the surgery staff began to prep me for surgery. The anesthesia was hooked up to my IV and Dr. Pousti said, "You're going to feel a little sting but that's normal, that's just the anesthesia working.¨ I felt the sting and about 2 seconds later I was out cold. The next thing I remember is being stirred from my slumber. When I finally came to, I remember feeling very groggy (my eyelids were very heavy so I could barely keep my eyes open) and my legs wouldn't stop shaking. I felt no nausea and was thankful that I didn't. I was given something intravenously to stop the shaking and laid there for about 20 minutes until I felt ok to get up to go home. Dr. Pousti came over and told me that everything went smoothly, that I did great and that I'm going to have beautiful results. Come to find out later, the surgery itself only took about 45 minutes! My boy-friend came back to the post op area where I was resting and helped me out of the surgery clothes and into my street clothes. My chest felt very tight and I made a conscious effort not to constrict my chest muscles. The first three days of recovery were the worst because of the restrictive movement but fortunately my boy-friend was there to take care of me. Per doctor's post op instructions I took my prescribed medication every 4-6 hours to make sure I felt minimal discomfort. All in all, the actual physical pain was minimal because I went in expecting the worst.

I am now 5 months post op and love my results. I wanted to look proportional and natural and that's exactly what Dr. Pousti helped me to achieve. I feel more feminine & sexy, my clothes look better and shopping is certainly more fun both for me and my boy-friend. I went bra shopping for the first time after the surgery and was shocked that my cup size is as big as it is, a 34D coming from a small 34A/B. I would recommend anyone who is considering a breast augmentation to Dr. Pousti and his very capable hands. He does not charge for his consultations so you can schedule an appointment to speak with him and his staff as many times as you need to. Additionally, it was very beneficial to me to meet his previous breast augmentation patients, in person at his office, to answer any questions I had but more importantly to see and touch the results. Yes, I said touch the results. Of course I felt uncomfortable touching a complete stranger's breast but after the first few women I got over it. Now I am returning the favor for Dr. Pousti's new and prospective patients ¡V something very uncharacteristic for me to do.

So, a sincere thank you to you Dr. Pousti and staff, for my wonderful new breasts and a continually pleasant experience. I know I will be back for additional cosmetic maintenance, once the aging starts to show on my face, when the pounds start accumulating on my stomach, hips & thighs and when my buns start heading south. On April 13th, 2007, I had a breast augmentation. Prior to scheduling my surgery, I had done my research extensively for about six years. I went to four other plastic surgeons. Some of them were good, but still I was not confident with them. I continue my research on the computer and I stumbled on Dr. Pousti’s name. I took a look at his website and was very impressed with his work. So I google his name and found that many people were very fond of his work. I saw that no one had anything bad to say about him. I set up a consultation in his office in Murrieta. I live about 1 1/2hr away from his office, but I did not care.

The day came for my consultation, I was so excited and I had my photos and questions ready for Dr. Pousti. It is kind of strange, but even before meeting with Dr. Pousti, I knew he was”the one”! After meeting him, I definitely was very confident of his work. He is very approachable, kind, listens, caring and awesome. He also has such a great staff. Everyone is very genuinely nice. I called a lot and they never seemed bothered.

The day of my surgery I was more anxious than nervous. I was still so confused about what size breast I wanted. I showed him many photos, but I still could not comprehend on the cc’s. It was very nerve racking to me. Since I totally trusted him, I let him decide. I was confident of his work and taking good care of me. I have to say I love how he held my hand before going under anesthesia. He made me feel at ease. Everything came out just fine. Honestly surgery was not as bad as I thought it would be.

It has been six months since I had my surgery and I am extremely happy that I chose Dr. Pousti. He is such an artist. My breast looks big but very natural just the way I wanted them to look. He was well worth the drive.

I always disliked my breasts but had never considered breast augmentation until a friend suggested I visit a plastic surgeon. I researched on the Internet and made appointments with several doctors. I was very nervous and still not convinced that breast augmentation was right for me, until I walked into Dr. Pousti's Temecula office. Dr. Pousti and his staff answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease. I left the office excited and convinced that Dr. Pousti was the right surgeon to perform my breast augmentation. I canceled my appointments with other doctors and immediately made a follow-up appointment.

Two months later, I went in for surgery. The surgical center was comfortable and attentive to my needs. Recovery was fast and easy. It actually gave me some much needed R & R! I'd been considering having breast augmentation surgery ever since I stopped breastfeeding my second child and I went from a full C cup to a rather deflated B. A friend had recommended a well-known doctor in Orange County, so I went for a consultation. My meeting was incredibly disappointing - the doctor was unpleasant, condescending and did his best to make me feel like my questions were unreasonable and even ridiculous. I was shocked! I knew I had to find someone else with a better bedside manner who would make me feel more comfortable -- I was going to be entrusting this person with my health and wellbeing, after all!

So, I went home and started to research other doctors in my area and came upon Dr. Tom Pousti's website. After scrolling through his "before and after" photos, I was immediately impressed with the quality of his work - the breasts in all the post op photos I saw looked natural and beautiful. I was also quite impressed with the number of glowing testimonials from former patients. Things were starting to look up.

I made an appointment to see Dr. Pousti and was pleased with the friendliness of his office staff and the lovely, professional building in which is Murrieta office is located. When I met Dr. Pousti, I knew right away he was the kind of doctor I was looking for - he was patient, kind, informative, professional and extremely courteous. He spent a great deal of time answering my questions and making sure I felt comfortable. Never once did I feel rushed or that any question or concern I had was unreasonable. I was ready to schedule my surgery with him right away, but my particular case (I was on the borderline of possibly needing a lift, instead of just an augmentation) made him ask to see me several more times before he felt comfortable with how we should proceed. On the day of my first visit, Dr. Pousti also invited me to speak with several patients who were there for post op check ups, to see if they could answer any of my questions or allay any of my concerns. I took him up on his offer and spoke with three women who all had positive experiences with their breast aug surgeries. I was pretty wowed by Dr. Pousti's openness and willingness to have me speak with his patients. I knew he was the right man for the job.

Over the course of the next month, he met with me several more times and I was never once charged for his time. After a few visits, we decided it best to see if I would be happy with the results from an augmentation and if not, we could always decide to do a full lift later on. I was very happy with Dr. Pousti's conservative approach and we set a date.

My surgery went smoothly and easily - the Alvarado Hospital staff was very professional and the facility is first rate. Dr. Pousti was with me as I went under the anesthesia and he was right there when I awoke. His kindness and professionalism made the difference for me between a potentially scary and unnerving experience and the ultimately worry-free and pleasant experience I actually had. The pain afterward was minimal -- he made sure I had good drugs -- and I'm thrilled with my new body! I only wish I'd done this sooner. My new breasts are high and round and beautiful - I no longer need a lift -- Dr. Pousti was able to accomplish the effects of a lift with augmentation alone! I am beyond satisfied! So much so, in fact, that I've already referred several friends to Dr. Pousti and will continue to do so. He's the best!

I underwent breast augmentation after considering it for many years. As soon as I realized that I would never have large breasts, I told myself that someday I would have the surgery. That day finally came in November of 2004. I did most of my research online, but after visiting Dr. Pousti’s office, there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted him to perform the surgery. He has a very calm demeanor and is willing to answer any questions. His office is very relaxing and his staff members are all very friendly, in person and on the phone. I had questions regarding the point of incision (through the nipple)…whether it would leave a horrible scar and if it would affect my wanting to breastfeed once I have children. My questions were answered and my concerns put to rest. The surgery went smoothly and my recovery time was quick. I can remember feeling very uncomfortable the first day after the surgery, but every day after that was much better. I was well prepared for my recovery, and luckily had my fiancé there to help me with everything. My advice to anyone considering this procedure is to bring lots of pictures to your consultation, rather than just having a cup size in mind. Also, make sure that you have someone who can be there for you during the first couple of days of recovery; it helps a lot. I am very happy with my outcome and love my new breasts. I was always happy with my body before, but now I'm ecstatic!!

I am 29 yrs old and it has been just over 2 months since I had my Breast Augmentation surgery by Dr. Pousti. I have 2 kids and nursed both of them and was not happy with the way that my breasts sagged. I had always been small (around a 32B) but after nursing, I got even smaller (down to an A) and was not comfortable in a bathing suit or bra that did not have major padding. I wanted to fill out my tops better. I had been thinking about surgery for a few months and then talked to a friend who had a tummy tuck by Dr. Pousti and just couldn't stop raving about how great the office was and how personable Dr. Pousti was. I called his office and fortunately was able to get an appt for a consultation. My husband and I went together and we were very impressed by Dr. Pousti's mannerism. He instantly makes you feel comfortable and explains everything to you. He really takes the time to answer any questions that you may have. And if you have any more questions about anything, they invite you to make an appointment for more consultations.

I waited a few months after my initial consultation making sure that it was what I really wanted to do. I was able to talk to some of his other patients that had had breast augmentation surgery as well and they were all very informative about what to expect with the surgery. I finally decided that I wanted to go through with it even though I was still a little nervous about the surgery.

The morning of the surgery I was very nervous but once I got to the Grossmont Surgical Center the whole medical staff put me right at ease. The anesthesiologist was wonderful. Dr. Pousti came in and told me what he was going to do and it calmed me down. After the surgery he even called me at home to see how I was doing. I really felt like he cared if I was miserable and uncomfortable. It is so nice to find a great doctor who cares about his patients.

As for the results of the surgery, I couldn’t be any happier. I love the way they look and feel. I had told Dr. Pousti that I didn’t want any sagginess but I did want to look natural, so I was leaving it up to his discretion about the size. And he did it perfectly. I didn't want it to be obvious that I had the surgery and it's not. As for all of the follow up appointments, everyone at the office has been great. It is nice to go into a doctor's office and they know you by name. It made me feel really good.

So, thank you Dr. Pousti and the whole staff at his La Mesa office and the staff that took care of me at Grossmont Surgical Center. You all did a great job and I really appreciate it. I will highly recommend you guys to everyone that asks.
