What patients say about
Paul W. Loewenstein, M.D.

Dr. Loewenstein saved my life... literally- I was so depressed. He was great! I felt like he genuinely cared about his patients. My surgery was a success and I am happy and content. I would recommend him to anyone!

On September 30th, I had a breast augmentation with Dr. Loewenstein. I was very concerned about not going too big. I am slender. 107 lbs. and 5'5" tall. Age 60. I was a 34 "A" and am now a nice full "B". I am so happy with my results. My measurements are now 35-25-35. It is exactly 15 days since my surgery and I am in no pain what-so-ever.

Throughout all of my surgical procedures Dr. Loewenstein has allowed me repeated office visits to answer any questions and address any fears. Doctor Loewenstein is NOT Doc. Hollywood!! He is patient, kind, honest, and down to earth. If he seems quiet, I think it's because his gears are really turning while he is trying to figure the best way to approach each person's particular needs. He does not try to push other surgical procedures at you.

Sandy, his nurse is very helpful. She handled all the paperwork with ease and a good nature. She also took phone calls from me with patience and a great sense of humor.

Nicole,

I had my surgery on July 20, and I am so happy with the results. I really believe Dr. Loewenstein is an artist as well as a wonderful surgeon. He knew what would look best on my small frame (5’7”, 120 pounds and small in the rib cage) – I trusted his judgment and couldn’t be happier. I am older than most of the women who visit your site (50), and was concerned about someone my age having breast augmentation. Dr. Loewenstein made me feel perfectly comfortable about my decision, and understood that I was doing this for me, that I didn’t want to be ‘in your face big’. I’m now a full C, look very proportionate and my clothes fit so much better! I would recommend Dr. Loewenstein to anyone!

Nicole, your website has been wonderful for me. I spent so much time on it just prior to my surgery and it helped ease the pre-BA jitters. Thank you!

Lynn

Nicole, I found Dr. Loewenstein on your site! I had consultations with him and with another doctor who is listed on your site. I liked Dr. Loewenstein's mannerism better, plus he’s been voted the number 1 plastic surgeon by Milwaukee Magazine survey for many years.

Nicole,

I used Dr Loewenstein in Milwaukee, WI. I told him I found his info on your site. I am very impressed with his technical ability. I had my breast augmentation over 5 months ago and have had zero complications which I credit to luck and him. I don’t have any follow ups with him, and only met with him two times post op. I am glad I had the comfort of your website recommendation. Dr. Loewenstein is quiet but always answered my questions.

I am happy with my results. If I ever have a need for a redo I may go a little smaller. I would definitely go back to Dr. Loewenstein.

Thanks, Stacy

You will be in GREAT hands! I had Dr. Loewenstein for my original BA and my re-do to silicone and also some Lipo. He is a FANTASTIC surgeon and really knows his stuff. My cousin also went to him for her BA and is VERY happy. He's a bit quiet (I'm sure you noticed), but he is VERY skilled and even participated in a video for Nicole here at ImplantInfo. Good luck with your BA (BTW I had NO pain after either BA -- lipo was a whole different story! Take care and keep us posted!

I had my BA 3 weeks ago with Dr. Loewenstein. I am very happy with the results. I had surgery at St. Joseph's hospital on Burleigh St. The first week after surgery was a little rough, but then I recovered quite a bit. If you have any questions I'll be happy to answer them if I can!! Good luck.

I choose Dr. Loewenstein because during my consultation he walked in the door and went through just about everything that can happen (complications) from a BA and then said - "Still want to talk about it?". I did not feel like he was trying to "sell" me anything - I felt like he genuinely wanted me to be informed about a very serious decision. I did go ahead with my BA and could not be happier! Dr. Loewenstein is a skilled surgeon and a very nice man.!

I had such a great experience with Dr. Loewenstein and would recommend him HIGHLY. He is kind-of quiet, but every time I saw him (pre & post-op) I went in with a list of questions and no matter how many patients he had waiting he made sure I never left without my questions answered! I had VERY little pain after my surgery and was up and about the next day. My new breasts looked fantastic at 1 week post-op, and they felt almost natural at 2 weeks. Dr. Loewenstein reviewed pictures that I had brought in on my pre-op visit with me and gave me his suggestions. I think he was right on the money with a "natural" size for my frame. Feel free to e-mail me if you would like to discuss Dr. Loewenstein further, but again I HIGHLY recommend him (and this comes from a patient that was TERRIFIED of having this surgery). Sandra

I used Dr. Loewenstein (Greater Milwaukee Plastic Surgery- Wauwatosa, WI). He is in one of Nicole's videos and came highly recommended by others. He is a quiet guy, but if you go to him with a list of questions he will make sure you don't leave without the answers. I had unders (via trans-ax) and VERY little pain and they look great already at 3 weeks! Good luck with your search!

Sandra

I'm happy to say a few words about Dr. Loewenstein. I found him to be patient, gentle and an excellent listener. I went to my pre-op consultation armed with a lot of information (much of which I gathered from your web site) and a long list of questions. He made me feel I could use as much of his time as I needed. He thoroughly answered all of my questions and had more information to add on top. He listened to what I wanted and together we looked at pre/post op photos for him to get more feedback from me.

Sandy, his "main" nurse, set up the surgery and made herself available for any questions I might have had at any time. I called her several times pre-op and she was always kind, candid, practical, and proud of Dr. Loewenstein and his work. I felt I was in good hands at all times. The surgery went smoothly and I was extremely well cared for by Dr. Loewenstein and the nursing staff at St. Luke's Surgery Center. I had drains put in and Dr. Loewenstein met me in his office on a Saturday-on his own time-to remove them. (His office is not open on Saturdays).

I got Dr. Loewenstein's name from a couple of places. The first to mention him was my OB/GYN. She said of all the breast augmentations she sees in her office, Loewenstein's name comes up the most and with good reason. The breasts she's seen by him "...are simply amazing. Very natural looking with practically no scarring." Secondly, I asked a doctor friend (emergency medicine) which plastic surgeon he would use if he needed one-and he said Dr. Loewenstein. Thirdly, I discovered that another doctor friend (general surgeon) chose Dr. Loewenstein to operate on his injured elbow (his operating arm). I was sold.

My statistics are as follows: 5'6", 110, 28" rib cage, was 34AA, now small C, 275cc overfilled to 300 left/325 right, under, round, smooth, Mentors, armpit incision done endoscopically, 8 weeks post op.

Dr. Loewenstein told my husband and I that breast augmentation is about 50% science and 50% art. It really is important to find a quality plastic surgeon. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Dr. Loewenstein and recommend him to anyone in the market.

Update 8/29/99: Just like many people after their first ba, I wished I had asked Dr. Loewenstein to make me a little bigger and wider. He obviously wanted me to be happy with my results and discussed several options to achieve what I desired. After much thought, my husband and I decided to go with silicone implants. I had my redo 8/25/99 with 450cc silicone implants at Elmbrook Hospital. Dr. Loewenstein performed the procedure endoscopically again and was able to use my original trans-ax incision sites. I am thrilled with the results and can't say enough about Dr. Loewenstein and his staff. Sandy, who had to deal with all of the extra paper work associated with the silicone study, was particularly wonderful. I am proud to be a part of the study with Dr. Loewenstein.
